On a sprawling 2.4-acre estate, ten historic buildings,
including The Kote-e Storehouse (Kote-e-gura), residences, shops, and sake brewing facilities from the Meiji to early Showa periods, remain intact.
All are designated as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.
At its center stands the Main House (Omoya), a place of unique charm and captivating vision.
After nearly 100 years, efforts are now underway to preserve
and revitalize this remarkable site for future generations.

Former Kina Saffron Liqueur Brewery is being gradually restored by Nagaoka City as a hub for tourism and community exchange. Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to witness the ongoing transformation of this valuable cultural heritage, brought to life through collective efforts.
The tour mainly covers the exterior.
The " Komegura" is a community hub revitalized from the old storehouse
of the Former Kina Saffron Liqueur Brewery.
It’s a welcoming space where visitors of all ages, from young children to the elderly, can relax and enjoy.

"Use of the large bus parking lot requires advance reservation and is limited to a maximum of 2 hours.
Please inquire at least one week before the date of use."
Members of the local community group, who have long been involved in preserving the Saffron Liqueur Brewery, guide visitors through the main buildings and garden. The tour lasts approximately 20 minutes and no reservation is required. Please visit the reception desk in the main house to join.
Scheduled Tours: Weekends and public holidays from April to November, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Contribution: ¥200 per person.
