A Visionary’s Unique Mansion in Echigo
Becomes a "Living Cultural Heritage"

On a sprawling 2.4-acre estate, ten historic buildings,
including The Kote-e Storehouse (Kote-e-gura), residences, shops, and sake brewing facilities from the Meiji to early Showa periods, remain intact.
All are designated as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.

At its center stands the Main House (Omoya), a place of unique charm and captivating vision.
After nearly 100 years, efforts are now underway to preserve
and revitalize this remarkable site for future generations.
